219 Layers, 1992, Mitzpe Ramon stone and granular concrete casts, maximum height 6 m. Yolanda and Albert Katz promenade, Mitzpe Ramon This large environmental sculpture blends with the topography of the promenade designed by landscape architect Zvi Dekel on the ridge of the rocky peak in Mitzpe Ramon. The vertical stone units on its northern side slope east towards the crater and cross an amphitheater whose stage is the promenade floor. Going through them redefines the spectators’ perspective of the view. The sculpture’s southern side is composed of horizontal layers of processed stone, rising from the promenade level and blending in the natural topography of the cliff’s edges.
